Creating a Project

Projects in Fault0 serve as containers for your test runs, reports, and related configurations. Creating a new project is the first step to organizing your test reporting.

Steps to Create a Project

  1. Locate the "Add Project" Button: On the main dashboard or projects overview page, you will find an "Add Project" button. Click this button to initiate the project creation process.

  2. Fill in Project Details: A form will appear, prompting you to enter the necessary information for your new project:

    • Name: A unique and descriptive name for your project.
    • Description: A brief explanation of what this project entails or its purpose.
  3. Complete Creation: After filling in all the required fields, click the "Create" button to create your project.

Adding Members to a Project

Once a project is created, you can add specific members from your organization to collaborate on it. Assigning project-specific roles ensures that each team member has the appropriate level of access and permissions within that particular project.

Steps to Add Project Members

  1. Access the "Add Members" Option: Within your project's dashboard or settings, locate and click the "Add members" button.

  2. Select Organization Members: A list of users already part of your Fault0 organization will appear. From this list, select the individuals you wish to add to the current project.

  3. Assign Project Roles: For each selected member, you can assign a specific role for this project.

  • Project Admin:

    • Has full control over the project's settings and management aspects.
  • Project Viewer:

    • Can view test results and reports generated within the project.
